RSS Feeds and E-Mail Subscriptions: How They Work

2 Different Methods of Free Subscription

Method 1:

You've probably seen this orange button under the heading, "Subscribe to my RSS Feed". I've got one prominently displayed in the left sidebar of my Cool iPhone Apps With $1 Caps blog. But what is it? Clicking on this orange button on my sidebar will take you to a page where you choose which RSS Feed Reader you prefer to use. There are many different readers to choose from. For example, let's say you choose Google. Click on the Google button, and you'll be taken to the Google Reader page. If you're not already registered with Google Reader, you would do a quick sign-up and, once completed, my daily posts will then be displayed in your Google Reader.

Method 2:

A simpler way to subscribe is to click in the "Subscribe by E-mail" rectangle in the top left sidebar of my blog. You'll enter your e-mail address there, and every day you'll get an email with my most recent post. This may be your preferred method as it's quick and easy.

Who should subscribe? Everybody! If you enjoyed your first visit to my blog, you should subscribe so you won't miss any of the fantastic content. Many people misunderstand because when they read the word "Subscribe," they think of something that they have to pay for. In this case, the word has no such meaning. Subscribing to my blog just keeps you informed, up to date, and costs you nothing at all.

A final word...Subscriptions mean regular readers, so obviously I want as many people to subscribe as possible. Go ahead and click that orange RSS button on my sidebar, or register your E-mail in that little box.  If all else fails, you can always click E-mail or RSS Reader in the final standard paragraph below in every post! Thank you and enjoy your day.

Cool iPhone Apps With $1 Caps is updated often. The easiest way to get your regular fix and stay on top of all our updates is to subscribe by selecting either: E-mail or RSS Reader. Also, come follow me on Twitter. We look forward to making every day fun for you and your iPhone.
