This app amazes me to think that a finger on a screen could create such a realistic brush stroke. It definitely looks so much more professional than drawing just plain lines.  The soft blurred look looks like a true artist's. After you have painted a few pictures, why not run yourself a slide show to enjoy your work? A great enhancement has been enabling brushes to zoom in from 70% to 800% to more accurately produce results. Brushes also records your strokes which is great for referring to during painting.

"Brushes invites you to go beyond the doodle. With several  realistic brush styles and the ability to select virtually any paint color, nothing stands between you and your next masterpiece.  Stay focused on your artwork with a balanced set of painting tools. Pick up previously applied colors using the eyedropper. Paint worry-free with a deep level of undo and redo."

--Tip:  This app requires OS 2.1 or later. Rated 4+. All of the screenshots were created with Brushes, an iPhone and an index finger!
