..RELEASED: 10/15/09, VERSION: 4.1.2 -- RATING: 3-1/2 Stars..

Nowadays, we spend a large chunk of time on business or vacation travel in other countries. This presents a language problem if we aren't familiar with the language basics of the foreign country. Lingolook FRANCE saves you from stumbling around, fumbling with a phrase book, or jumbling up your foreign language greetings and sentences. You are presented with a neat, well-organized app that gives you many categories of conversation from which to choose. For example, on opening Lingolook FRANCE, you will find icons related to Essentials, Travel, Lodging, Leisure, Food & Drink, Shopping, Services, etc. You merely have to pick which category you need. Just find the phrase you wish to speak, tap the screen, and a native speaker will clearly and correctly say the words you wish to be heard. This feature is so helpful in case you are nervous about mispronouncing the words phonetically presented to you. A brief summary of some of the features included are: No internet connection required, 500 words and phrases, 300 audio translations, 75 illustrated flash cards, Menu readers, Travel Tips, Country Facts and so much more. A very useful item in Lingolook FRANCE is the References display which shows you number counting, menus, clothing sizes and many more daily topics of conversation. The Index screen gives you a listing of categories with phrases. I could not imagine traveling overseas without this helpful speaking and written reference. Speak like a native, or let Lingolook FRANCE be your voice when you communicate with those who speak other languages.

"Speak French like a native. Lingolook lives on your phone. Its clean, cartoonish flash cards of important words and phrases, more than 300 talking translations from, 'I'm allergic to nuts' to 'Speak slowly', are said aloud if you tap your screen delivering you from faux pas and pronunciation debacles."

Fun Stuff - Word of The Day:
meta tag - An HTML tag that contains information about a Web page. Some search engines, such as AltaVista, use spiders that index Web pages based on meta tags. So, in theory, an HTML or Web page author can control how a site is indexed by search engines and how and when it will be called up during a user's search. Within the meta tag, a keyword tag defines the primary keywords of a Web page. The meta tag can also specify an HTTP or URL address for the page to jump to after a certain amount of time (this is known as client pull). So, a Web page author can control the amount of time a Web page is up on the screen, as well as where the browser will go next.
