Tapping away on a small phone keyboard can be an eye strain, not to mention a little awkward at best. However, browsing through new apps today, I was impressed when I found and tried Dragon Dictation. It is a simple application that works extremely well in transcribing your words into text as you record them. It is actually 5 times faster than typing on the keyboard. Since I do not type with my thumbs, this is a no-brainer for me! You are then given the option upon seeing your transcribed text to e-mail it from within the app, send out via text, or even paste to the Clipboard to be placed in whatever app you choose. The helpfulness of Dragon Dictation is unlimited. Why not use it to update your Facebook or Twitter status? Send notes to yourself easily. No need to touch the keyboard, just talk and send. This is a tremendous facility for the physically handicapped, or those who have difficulty typing. If you have problems spelling correctly, you won't have to worry about this again. What impresses me most about Dragon Dictation is its accuracy in transcribing. If you wish to change any of the dictated words, however, you can edit them easily by tapping the keyboard icon. I am proud to say Dragon Dictation is an all-round winner for all ages and is a first-rate utility.
