Games are always welcome in this house at any time. They can cheer up a day that's going downhill or just offer some stress relief. Since we are still in winter, now is a great time to introduce Feed the Walrus, a game app in which you get to take care of a chubby walrus on an ice floe by feeding him all sorts of things, some of which walruses really don't eat in real life, I might add. That's all part of the fun though! The game is open-feint if you choose to participate in proudly boasting of your scores.

Feed the Walrus has some cute scenery of the Walrus in the foreground, and an iceberg with penguins in the background. Bananas, fish and other foods are being rained down on the walrus, and you must tilt the phone slowly in order to have the Walrus catch the food. As he eats, you hear crunching sound effects. If you let too many foods escape him because you haven't honed your tilting skills yet, the Walrus' heart will start to beat quite loudly as he cannot live undernourished! Oh, and there are certain foods that the Walrus must NOT eat at all, so don't let him catch those. There are power-ups such as magnets and gravity. I caught several gravity power-ups, and in fact spent entirely too much time playing the game instead of writing this post. Would you call that addicting? I think so! This game is suitable for all ages as instructions are purely graphic and not at all complicated. Sound effects and visuals are good, and not cluttered or intrusive. So challenge your friends to a game, post your scores on the leaderboard and have fun playing Feed the Walrus.

"The walrus is hungry so you have to feed him. Slide the walrus over the iceberg to eat bananas, fish, pizzas and more."
