This is a really big time of year for travel. In Florida, the snowbirds are coming down to visit. However, there are many snafus getting in and out of states as snowstorms, blizzards, heavy rain and generally bad weather prohibit the flights from taking off on time. This can be annoying and inconvenient at the very least. Flight Tracker is a useful iPhone travel app that helps you cope with unexpected flight changes, look up flights if you travel often, or monitor the flights of family members and friends so you can be sure they have departed or arrived safely! Here are some of the important uses of the comprehensive Flight Tracker app:

- Quickly search for upcoming flights
- Browse flights by airline, airport and flight number
- View flight details, including arrival and departure times, gate number, baggage claim info, as well as any delays reported in flight status
- Save the flight to quickly check on it later
- Save as many flights as you want

Navigating through Flight Tracker could not be easier as it basically contains two screens with which to work covering all the details you'll ever need. Here's how this useful travel app works. When you open Flight Tracker, you will be given two choices: New Flight or Saved Flights. I chose New Flight where I found 3 selections to complete: Date of Travel, Departure City and Arrival City. I entered tomorrow's date along with a pretend flight from Miami to Atlanta. Immediately, a vast selection of available flights popped up for my review. I chose an American Airlines flight and tapped that, upon which another screen opened displaying all the information I needed to be confident in my AA flight tomorrow. Details included: Departure and Arrival cities and times, Gate number, Status (delays), Aircraft number and type, Baggage Claim and Confirmation Number. I then tapped the Save button so I could view these details later from the Saved Flights option. If you wish, simply tap Back to check on another flight with all of its comprehensive information. The comforting factor of this app is that Flight Tracker uses the same database that most airlines utilize. This ensures that information will be accurate and current. More importantly, the information provided is for cities worldwide and covers every major airport. Members of my family are constantly flying here and there. I think this app would suit us all immensely to check that flights are on time and not delayed by adverse weather, especially if I am picking them up from the airport!

"Use your iPhone to view airline schedules worldwide, select and save arriving or departing flights, and then check status udpates, weather delays, gate location and more!"
