You wake up in the morning and wonder what kind of day and week ahead to expect. After all, times are changing as summer starts heading towards fall! What sort of clothes should you wear (warm or cool), and should you leave the wash out to dry in case it might rain? Is an umbrella, raincoat or hot chocolate a necessity? Any first season snow in the offing?
You can find out your hourly and weekly weather in your local city or other cities you designate with only one sleepy eye open, and by swiping or tapping the weather widget in the Notifications Center which is part of the new iOS5. Here's how to go about it.
Just pull down your Notifications Center on any screen (except lock screen) on your device, then swipe left or right on the Weather widget to view the weekly forecast. You can then tap anywhere on the same Weather widget to be taken directly to the Weather app which always displays the weekly weather. The neat trick is that here you may view the hourly forecast showing precipitation percentages and temperatures by swiping down anywhere on the weather image display. If you have added other cities of interest to your Weather app, just scroll through and follow the same steps to similarly view their forecasts.
